The U.S. State Department has classified Haiti at a level 4 travel advisory (do not travel). Many mission and aid organizations have cancelled teams this year due to the political unrest in Haiti's capital city, Port au Prince.
Haiti Bible Mission is in Jeremie, Haiti, approximately a 10-hour ride from Port au Prince. Although Jeremie is affected by the riots (transport of food and supplies is often cut off), the danger is not the level of Port au Prince.
